The close interaction and cooperation among firms have become the characteristics of Taiwan semiconductor industry. How to keep advantages in the global competition is an important issue now. A company must active to strive for meet customers’ requirements, and “Time-based Competition” is one of the critical success factors. Therefore, this rsearch focuses on how to shorten the production delivery time. This research is based on a case study of semiconductor assembly industry. Adopt the concepts of Toyota Production System (TPS) and Theory of Constraints (TOC), and apply the methods of Total Quality Management (TQM) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) in production process improvement. We achieve the goals of reducing the production delivery time and more consist with product quality by standardization, flexible employee’s management, and production lines integration.
