Description
Summary:碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 資訊電機工程碩士在職專班 === 95 === The content of this thesis is to implement the driving circuits of erbium-doped fiber amplifier (EDFA) and to investigate the EDFA spectra by using different pumping structures. By the combination of a fiber coupler or Bragg fiber grating with an EDFA to form a fiber laser, the fiber spectra can be observed and investigated. In the experiment, the pumping sources of an EDFA were driven by two different integrated circuits (ICs), which are respectively to provide a stable current source and to keep the pumping laser temperature in constant value for obtaining a stable constant power output. As the pumping light is launched into the erbium-doped fiber in different pumping structures, the suitable length of EDF can be obtained for achieving high efficient erbium-doped fiber amplifiers. The EDFA is combined with the fiber coupler for obtaining the bandwidth to be wider than that of a traditional EDFA including C-band and L-band light spectrum. It can provide the light source of a measurement system. The EDF is integrated with a tunable wavelength of fiber grating to form a tunable laser for applying in a fiber communication system or fiber sensors.
