Visitors visit the ecological conservation areas should have high environmental attitude and behavior. Although Kau-Mei Wetland is an ecological conservation areas, the visitors have inappropriate behaviors. 399 questionnaire surveys were conducted during the period of November 2006 and April 2007 in Kau-Mei Wetland, Tai-Chung County. Visitors’ environmental attitude was measured by the New Ecological Paradigm (NEP) with five factors “limits to growth”, ”anti-anthropocentrism”, “balance of nature”, “rejection of exemptionalism” and “the possibility of an eco-crisis”. The environmental behaviors include six factors: “eco-management”, “persuasion”, “consumption”, “legal action”, and “environmental inference”. Meanwhile, the management strategies have four domains - “site management”, “limited behavior”, “prohibitive behavior” and “public facilities”. Visitors are categoryed via cluster analysis into “human beings-centred”, “high environmental crisis consciousness and “low environmental consciousness”. The results of this study show that: (1) Different transportation and information sources of visitors affect them environmental attitude; (2) Visitors’ environmental attitude has influence on environmental behavior of “environmental interference” and “eco-management”, (3) the environmental attitude of “high environmental crisis consciousness” is higher than the ones of the “human beings-centred”, and (4) the environmental attitude types have significent influence on four management strategies factors, i.e. “site management”, “limited behavior”, “the prohibitive behavior” and “the public facilities”. Based on the result, this research provided suggestions towards the management of visitors’ behavior and environmental operation. Su-Hsin Lee 李素馨 2007 學位論文 ; thesis 96 zh-TW
