In this study, polylactide (PLA) multifilaments to form 3-dimensional braids were performed by using 16-spindle braid machine, and enabling its structure to possess the even holes and the tunnels for tissue fluid could circulate in tunnel and provide osteogenesis to need the environment and the growing space for new bone. Then, PLA braids were refined by alkali treatment, and it was coated with the beta- tricalcium phosphate (β-TCP) by heating treatment. Thereafter, PLA braid was squeezed into the β-TCP tube to adjust its mechanical property, which is similar to the human bone’s double-decked structure. As a result show that per-stress 1000 N and proportion of mixture β-TCP:Stearic Acid =1:1.5 of β-TCP tube can be sintered to have structure of hole (300~400μm), pore (1μm) and the tunnels. Alkali treatment was performed by soaking of PLA braids in 1 wt% NaOH aqueous solution for 15 min, then it was soaked in suspension of deionize water (ml):β-TCP (g)=10:1.5 . The treated PLA braids were then heated to 175℃ in an furnace for 9 min, and it was squeezed the fabric into the β-TCP tube.
