The architectural characters of different kinds of dwelling houses were transferred from the image of entrance and fence. The purpose of this research is to study the cognition of people on entrance and fence in some aspects, such as space function, aesthetic effect and economic influence. It hopes to provide helpful ideas to designers for reference. First of all, it selected three kinds of material : stone, wood, and glass-metal, and classified the intensities of greenery and enclosure by three types. The intensity of greenery defined by visual observation which are non-greenery, low-greenery and high-greenery. The intensity of enclosure defined by the height of fence with low-height(90cm), middle-height(200cm) and high-height(300cm). Furthermore, it constructed 27 sets’ pictures as stimulation of questionnaire with the method of Semantic Differential. (S.D.) The research purposes are: (1) To explore the relationship between subjects’ socio-demographic and the cognition of entrance fence, (2) to explore the relationship between types of entrance fence and subjects’ preference, (3) to investigate the influence of entrance fence’s function, aesthetic and economic factors on subjects’ preference, (4) to explore the different function, aesthetic and economic based on entrance fence materials. We interviewed 412 subjects for understanding their cognition from experiencing entrance and fence of dwelling houses. As a result, it got 93% effective questionnaire returned. Moreover, we analyzed the information from investigating by means of t-test, one-way ANOVA and multiple regression. The results are: (1) There are few socio-demographic variables having significant difference on the cognition of this research. (2) On the utilization of materials, people prefer to use glass and metal on entrance and fence with high-greenery and low-enclosure characters. (3) The most important factors which influence on cognition of entrance and fence are aesthetic considerations. (4) On the material, stone was influenced by the aesthetic, economical, and economic considerations. While wood, and glass-metal were only influenced by the aesthetic factor. The aesthetic is the most important consideration of the three type material. Su-Hsin Li 李素馨 2007 學位論文 ; thesis 87 zh-TW |
