AT present, In Taiwan the public toilet related research most is by “the cultural
stratification plane＂, “the management aspect＂ the achievement studies grad in major,
not yet aims at “the public toilet illumination environment＂ the aspect to do thorough
investigation and study. Therefore this research will aim at the park of public toilet
illumination environment to do the preliminary estimate research, take Taizhong''s park
category of public toilet as the example, at night the public toilet degree of illumination
data and investigates the scene space material quality style because of the instrument actual
way gauging, understood that present situation of the public toilet space illumination
question, and propose the substantive improvement suggesting of reference the public toilet
illumination environment revision in the future.
The actual data and the investigation obtained material will use “descriptive
statistics＂ and “the simple regression analysis＂ the method analysis space to influence
of the illumination environment and the solution present situation each public toilet
illumination quality, in view of has not reached standard the degree of illumination public
toilet the suggestion in finally to carry on the computer simulation design, and proposed

Conclusion for this research:

number is 127, the ladies'' room is 234, but men''s room area the mean value is 13.3 ㎡,
ladies'' room is 13.8 ㎡. Demonstrated that the ladies'' room the compartmented number is
more than men''s room twice, but in the use spatial area is unexpectedly and the men''s room
is equal, demonstrated at present the Taizhong park public toilet pays great attention in the
toilet room compartmented number proportion, and not considered the ladies'' room in the
usable area proportion.
Second, suggested that the average intensity of illumination 70 Lux standard examines the
park public toilet to gather qualified rate, the men''s room average degree of illumination
reaches the suggestion standard to account for the proportion is 20%, but the ladies'' room
part average degree of illumination reaches the suggestion standard to account for the
