Summary: | 碩士 === 大葉大學 === 事業經營研究所碩士在職專班 === 95 === The purpose of this study was to explore the proportion of teacher evaluation indicators. The results were concluded from the questionnaire of Teacher Evaluation Indicators by the method of Analytic Hierarchy Process. Total of 26 subjects consisting of educational experts in Central Taiwan, elementary school teachers, educational administrators and parents were invited to complete the questionnaire. The data were analzed by using Expert Choice 2000, the hierarchy of teacher evaluation indicators was formed. Twenty-one sub-indicators below 5 dimensions were categorized, which could be offered for educational administration agencies to be referral while conducting evaluation system in the future.
The conclusion showed as following:
1. Besides to have the evaluation objective and method, it’s also necessary to make specific and feasible indicators before conducting teacher evaluation.
2. The proportion of each dimension in first layer showed as following: Reverence for occupation(36.6%) which was listed as the most important by interviewees. The second one of priority was Teaching ability(19.5%), and the other successive dimensions were Class management(19.2%), Interpersonal relationship(14.0%) and Professional knowledge(10.7%).
3. Among the 21 sub-indicators in second layer, the top 5 of importance were with highly patience and love, educational enthusiasm, and teaching sincerity and full with good virtues, conducting action research, problem-solving, controlling instructing objective and using apposite teaching skills.
According to the conclusions above, the recommendations were provided for educational administration agencies, schools, executors of teacher evaluation, as well as for future research.
