碩士 === 大葉大學 === 休閒事業管理學系碩士班 === 95 === The purpose of this study is to explore the correlation between hotel employees leisure activity participation and job satisfaction. Hotel employees personnel are in an area of work that is manifestly different from that of other working people or public servants. Holidays and weekends are vacation days for many working people, but this is the time of greatest work demand in the hotel business. As a result, they are different in planning for leisure activities. Research subjects are 120 hotel employees personnel in Le Beau Max Resort of Chia-yi County. Scales of leisure activity participation and job satisfaction are used as research tools. In May of 2006, a survey was used to release 120 questionnaires to all service personnel in the hotel, and 104 valid questionnaires were retrieved. Data analysis employed the statistical methods of independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson’s correlation coefficient. According to the study, in leisure activity participation, hotel employees personnel show significant differences due to their marital status, conditions of their children, and religious beliefs. In terms of job satisfaction, hotel employees personnel show significant difference due to their level of employment and religious beliefs. In terms of leisure activity participation and job satisfaction, hotel employees personnel show a positive correlation in internal satisfaction and participating in sports or tourist activities. Sports, hobbies, tourist activities, and overall leisure participation show a positive correlation to overall satisfaction.
