More specifically, this study attempted to explore the modes of the influences in group discussions and decision-makings, to obtain the sequences and relationships of travel tasks, to explore the factors of the influences in travel decision-making process, and to present the formations of travel decision-making. The participants of this study were the students of one class of a university in Taichung. In order to leave the good memories of their college lives, 10 members in the class served as the committee for planning a travel journey. In this study, the approach of a case study was employed by using participant observations and interviews to collect the related data. The time period of this study was from 2005/12/25 to 2006/5/5. The research findings were as follows: 1. The committee members were usually affected by informational influence on most issues. However, they were affected by normative influence and would follow the suggestions of the majority sometime. 2. The decisive ways of the committee were to reach the common consensus. But they would adopt the voting according to the majority members when they could not reach the common consensus. 3. The travel tasks were decided sequentially. First of all, the length of trip was arranged among the travel tasks, followed by destination and attraction, travel agency, starting date, expenditure, and game activities. In addition, the expenditure affected how members decided the length of trip, starting date, and travel agency. 4. The staffs who had the professional knowledge on organizing the itinerary and good faced–to-faced communication with the committee members was the basis on the travel agency being selected to provide services. 5. The mentor assigned in the class played a role on being a consultant and participated in the travel decision-making process 6. The lack of travel-related knowledge and long-time traveling experiences of the committee members failed to arrange the itinerary by themselves. Besides, most of travel agency without providing travel information about estimated fees so that members had to ask for the services provided by the travel agency.
