Nowadays the average data rate of GPRS and mobile 3G approached to 57kbps and 200kbps respectively. The 802.11n and WiMAX are under testing. In order to achieve a high data rate mobile communication, it is possible to modify the 802.11g system to approach 5Mbps data rate. In this thesis, a new wireless communication system design is considered via the whole system view. A high-gain power amplifier is re-designed to prolong the transmitting range, the algorithm of automatic RF channel selection, a novel design of “Fly-Gibbon” state machine system ,and soft-switch routing mechanize are proposed to achieve handover packet at high data rate without disconnection .
