Description
Summary:碩士 === 中原大學 === 機械工程研究所 === 95 === In order to investigate the internal flow characteristics of air-jet nozzles, a numerical approach is employed in this study. Based on a steady flow assumption and neglecting the influences of gravity, viscosity and yarn, the inviscid, compressible flow calculations are conducted for the internal flow passage of U- and V-type air-jet nozzles, where the air is assumed following the ideal gas law. The governing equations are discretized by a finite volume approach, where the first-order upwind scheme is employed to approximate the convection term in the governing equations. A SIMPLE-type algorithm is adopted to decouple the velocity and pressure in the flow fields. Available experiment measurements are then used to validate the numerical simulations. Keywords: air-Jet nozzle, compressible flow calculation, computational fluid dynamics.
