Description
Summary:碩士 === 中原大學 === 工業工程研究所 === 95 === Since 1980s, Fabless becomes the best way starting an IC design business. IC design industry is one of the most challenging industries these days. Besides the challenge of Time to Market, business owners of the IC design industry also need to shoulder the challenge of Time-To-Revenue. In order to seize the market share, they must promote their product quickly; at the same time, they have to carefully examine stock of finished and semi-finished goods, production status of the outsourcing cooperatives, production schedule of foundry output so as to decide future output and rope schedule which are special management demand faced by IC design industry. By referring to rule of thumb and the stock level, company can respond to customers the date of delivery and quantity of delivery. This phenomenon does not take into consideration the profit-making factor of individual order and the importance of customer commitment. Integrated production capacity and material supply limitation determine the order quantity promised and the date of delivery. The company can decide if the order be accepted in accordance with customers’ demand. The purpose of this study is to seek a definite delivery date and delivery quantity which plays an important role in order fulfillment and stock improvement. If there is a good order reply system and delivery quantity mechanism for IC design company, it should act as an indicator for certain improvement in customer relationship and business competitiveness. This research proceeds with comparative analysis of the actual cases and profit-making optimization of the order; through optimization of order allotment process, IC design business owner can precisely know the expected result of order fulfillment and the expected difference of profit-making. According to this finding, projections and arrangement can be made in advance for promising customer result. At the same time, for the situation of unfulfilled customer order demand, optional plan may be substituted for satisfying customer demand and increasing profit-making and reputation of IC design business.
