It improved buildings with stiffness and strength and enhances seismic capacity of building. Although the nonlinear simulate models was investigated by scholars, the numerical simulation of RC wall hasn’t had a better conclusion yet. The computer program of ETABS is one of the well-known programs to analysis a structure and known by the engineers, but hasn’t discuss the simulate methods of RC wall. Therefore, equivalent columns are usually acceptable for modeling walls, (and using M3 or V2 to model the plastic-hinge). Thus, this paper based the capacity curve of RC wall of the National Cheng Kung University model, and compared ATC-40 with Eurocode 8 to infer properties of shear plastic-hinge and moment plastic-hinge of RC wall. Finally, verified with the results of several domestic RC frames tests by using the nonlinear analysis of ETABS. It is expected hopes to provide a reasonable numerical analysis method and a convenient model for engineers to apply.
