Description
Summary:碩士 === 中山醫學大學 === 營養學研究所 === 95 === Diabetes is one of the major chronic diseases in Taiwan. The impact of leptin and ghrelin upon diabetic progression has been paid attention. This study included 40 type II diabetic patients and 15 healthy controls. Blood levels of leptin, ghrelin, GSH and lipid oxidation were analyzed. Results showed that diabetic female had significantly higher leptin than diabetic male (P<0.05), diabetic male had significantly higher ghrelin than diabetic female (P<0.05). Diabetic patients has greater level of GSH than healthy control (P<0.05). Both oxidation level, determined as MDA, and HbAlc level were significantly greater in diabetic patients (P<0.05). These results indicated that the influence of leptin, ghrelin and HbAlc in diabetic patients needs to be paid more attention.
