Description
Summary:碩士 === 長榮大學 === 視覺藝術研究所 === 95 === This essay discusses the appearance of bamboo and trees, seeking to explore the idea of cherishing life from a different perspective, considering the natural picture of propagation and withering. Such an idea would imply that human beings should live in the same manner as flora and value their lives to make good use of the exuberant growth of summer and of the desolation of winter as themes within this article. By viewing the prosperous growth of bamboo and trees’; we may not only feel the vitality they offer but also sense their life force. Here is my study conclusion: This essay is divided into five chapters. Chapter one is the introduction. It discusses the research motivation and purpose. The research method、the research structure、the scope of research and research limitations. Chapter two provides a literature review of relevant works regarding the propagation and life-cycle of bamboo. The culture of bamboo in traditional Chinese ancient poetry offers proverb and picturesque scene which maker us come to understand the true essence of life. Through an analysis of philosophy and sense of aesthetics, we may realize a delicate balance between human lives and the images of a bamboos life cycle. In an attempt to transform natural scenery into an artistic expression, we comprehend how human life becomes splendid and full from the ordinary and the banal. Chapter three focuses on the theory of Chao Bu-zhi and Chao So-zhi, poets of the Song Dynasty. We strive to recreate some of the works based on his famous remarks,〝Reminders are for observation since the affairs of the world are inconstant.〞 and 〝When depicting an object, take its innate character. 〞Thus, we may catch sight of the form, the spirit and essence emerging from the opus. Realizing the process of creation, we may compare the unique features of the bamboo’s life-cycle with previous masterpieces. In this way, we are able to obtain new creative ideas and impressions. Chapter four is about methodology. Corresponding with the image of propagation and withering in bamboos life-cycle, I list seven works that represent the creator’s ideas and offer the entire range of styles for each aspect of individual creation. In light of this essay’s purpose, we may acquire an aesthetic foundation that may be divided into five fields: 1. The idea of creation 2. The basis of the scientific principle 3. The connotation and form 4. Material and technique 5. Global expression The last chapter is the conclusion. Each artist has his or her own way of expression. Even if they devote themselves to a given work of art on the basis of the same subject matter, they may still produce completely different works in their form of artistic conception. Art production is connected with personal interests and experience in Mother Nature, not just a vivid description of the observed. Besides, the following orientation and deliberations in creation, The investigation of country field based on thesis, the process of searching, writing and technique as well as composition and distribution are often adopted to explore the predecessors’ correlative research. Expounding on artistic endeavor through perception and comprehension is an appropriate way to express one’s idea. It helps to develop a creative mode of thinking which is free to innovation. The philosophy of aesthetics makes the intention and connotation of art works more comprehensible and richer. According to this process, a designer’s skill and ideas may both be improved upon as to clarity and consummation. Thus when referring to related research materials, we are able to discover and acquire the knowledge from the preceding literature. The artistic conception of the propagation and withering of bamboo within images is something the author remembers with some gratitude. It relates to the preciousness of life as well as the tree’s ecological form, so clearly delineated in works by Chao Bu-zhi and Chao So-zhi , a poet of the Song Dynasty.“Reminders for Observation”and “Depictions Were None the Less Vivid and Lifelike”emerge as naturalistic and picturesque scenes. The withered trees may connote death﹐despair or even desolation for most people. From the writer’s point-of-view﹐such images appear to offer some kind of hope that all the sufferings we experience in life will eventually have their reward﹐like darkness before the dawn﹐so that everything gradually enters into blissful circumstances. By way of analyzing and practicing, one may produce a mental or meditative quality suggestive of such paintings and enjoy the fruits of such hard introspection as well as to experience the principle and beauty of Chinese classical image. Understanding future development in the imagery of bamboo’s propagation and withering, we may elevate our artistic accomplishment and the experience also offers us lessons from work through practicing.
