Also, quality of flow rate and dynamic response is often the most important design consideration of the gear pumps. In this thesis, plentiful optimization analyses in order to obtain maximum displacement volumes for the external gear pumps are executed to find the optimal design parameters. In addition, parametric analysis to evaluate influence of design parameters on pump displacement capability is also performed. Besides, characteristics of flow rates and dynamic responses are also investigated to assure the related pump performance. The displacement performance of gear pumps is mainly determined by their geometric design parameters related to their gears. Therefore, this study firstly derives equations of involute tooth profile by which geometric profiles of their gears can be obtained. Then, theoretic net displacement volume is deduced after respectively deriving the output and backflow volumes. Next using an optimal code MOST, the optimal pump design for the maximum displacement can be achieved. To verify numerical accuracy, the numerical displacement of optimization pump design of the proposed method is compared with the result calculated by a CAD software package. In analyzing flow rate characteristics, flow rate fluctuation coefficients of the gear pump through the optimal process are calculated. Influences of gear design parameters on the flow rate characteristics for the gear pumps are also investigated. Finally, this study expects to conduct the investigation of pump dynamic characteristics. Fillet stresses of the gear pumps are calculated using an FEM software. Using a code of ANSYS/APDL, analyzing model of FEM for gear pairs in gear pumps is generated. After assigning suitable initial and boundary conditions, dynamic responses of the external gear pump gears are slightly analyzed using LS-DYNA. Anticipatively, the results of this study including the displacement capability, flow rate fluctuation, and dynamic characteristic for the gear pumps are served to facilitate the design of the external gear pumps. 黃國饒 2007 學位論文 ; thesis 0 zh-TW
