for solving some boundary value problems. In addition to the famous
Schauder and Leray-Schauder theorems, the existence of nonnegative
solutions of boundary layer equations arising from the production of
silicon rods are again verified by using the Krasnosel’skii fixed point
theorem. Our results give more delicate apriori estimate of the obtained
solutions.
