Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 電機工程所 === 95 === The protocols of wireless communication are growing vigorously, as more attention is paid to wireless networking. The IEEE 802.16d standard (also known as WiMAX) is a promising technology for future fixed broadband wireless access (FBWA) systems. Many components in the network structure of this standard, such as the base station and access service network, have no products in the market yet. The purpose of this thesis lies in utilizing the IXDP 2350 network processor, produced by the Intel Company, allowing it to cooperate with tunneling technologies to build the R3 interface on the access service network gateway. Development on this platform is a whole new challenge for us, since we have to port onto the platform and setup the entire development environment. Then we also have to create the IPv4 forwarding function for IXDP 2350 from scratch and make it cooperate with the IPv4 mobility techniques used on the R3 interface. Turning to consideration of the design, the advantages of multi-threading and the functions deployed on the four microengines have to be taken into account in order to exploit its efficiency.
