There is extremely few courseware authoring applications which have the capability to quickly process the video whose content includes a PowerPoint document. In addition, users need much time and energy to retrieve the graphic slides from a video. Therefore, the thesis proposes the embedded interactive information system which adopts the automatic detection technology to reduce the time of retrieving learning materials. Besides, instruction designers can insert the interactive information into a video. In this regard, it let users learn something according to the embedded information, and enable users to control their learning progress. Based on the advanced principles of multimedia learning, the proposed system was consonant with the animation and interactivity principles in multimedia design principles. In the end, this research took a learning scenario for example. Instruction designer can author learning objects through the proposed system. The learning objects not only let learners participate in learning activities according to instruction designers’ instructions but make them control their learning progress.
