Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 資訊工程所 === 95 === Quality-of-service (QoS) routing protocol needs higher bandwidth and robust links. In wireless network, routing path is constructed by multiple hops with wireless links. Wireless links are constructed by radio signals which are unreliable. Hence the quality of links and robust path are important. In this thesis, cooperative routing protocol achieves these requirements of QoS.
Broken links and low quality of signals make nodes reroute. Using cooperative routing protocol with multiple beam antennas improves quality of communication and bandwidth. Omni or directional antennas allows one transmission in their communication range at the same time. Time slots of omni or directional antennas are reserved for different transmissions. This method causes complex calculation and decreasing spatial reuse. Multiple beam antennas increase spatial reuse and decrease calculation complexity. Transmissions (or receptions) are processed in different directions simultaneously to decrease the bandwidth requirement. Reservation of time slots and spatial reuse are more efficient and multiple links make the path more robust. Cooperative routing protocol increases bandwidth to achieve QoS and offers higher successful rate to construct multiple routing path. When links fail, cooperative routing protocol finds other sub-paths to satisfy bandwidth requirement immediately. Cooperative routing protocol with multiple beam antennas can transmit multiple messages to neighbors at the same time and
improve the throughput. The performance is studied in simulation and compares with other scheme to show the improvement.
