(2) the effect of work stress to withdrawal behavior. (3) the effect of work stress to organizational citizenship behavior. (4) the mediate effect of perceived organizational support between work stress and withdrawal behavior. (5) the relationship between withdrawal behavior and organizational citizenship behavior. (6) the relationship between emotional intelligence and organizational citizenship behavior. The research targets are pharmacists of hospital based on 2005 Department of Health, Executive Yuan, random sampling 29 hospitals from 87 hospitals. 565 questionnaires were submitted and 68% is valid. These data were analyzed by statistical methods of descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, simple linear regression, CFA (confirmatory factor analysis) and SEM (structural equation modeling). In addition, this research used Harman’s one-factor test to verify common method variance from one single source. The results are summarized as follows: (1) Emotional intelligence is significantly negative related to work stress. (2) Work stress has a significant positive influence on withdrawal behavior (3) Work stress has no influence on organizational citizenship behavior (4) Perceived organizational support has a partial mediating effect between work stress and withdrawal behavior (5) Withdrawal behavior is significantly negative relationship to organizational citizenship behavior. (6) Emotional Intelligence is significantly positive relationship to organizational citizenship behavior. These results suggest that pharmacists’ emotional intelligence is directly negative relationship to work stress; therefore, the hospital should pay more attention to the management of pharmacists’ emotional intelligence through training, supervisor advice, and workshop to reduce work stress and withdrawal behavior. at the same time, it has positive influence to improve organizational citizenship behavior and reduce turnover rate.
The results are summarized as follows:
(1) Emotional intelligence is significantly negative related to work stress.
(2) Work stress has a significant positive influence on withdrawal behavior
(3) Work stress has no influence on organizational citizenship behavior
(4) Perceived organizational support has a partial mediating effect between work stress and withdrawal behavior
(5) Withdrawal behavior is significantly negative relationship to organizational citizenship behavior.
