Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 法律所 === 95 === The concept of sexual harassment is a common sense today. However, the problems caused by sexual harassment have never been solved. With the growth of feminism, the issue of sexual harassment obtains more and more attention. Many countries have enacted the law and established relevant system to govern the subject of sexual harassment. Taiwan is no exception. The Gender Equality Education Act was enacted in 2004. The Act authorizes schools of the rights to deal with the issues of sexual harassment on campus. The purposes of this Act are to promote substantial gender equality, eliminate sex discrimination, uphold human dignity, improve educational resources, and establish environments of gender equality. However, some problems still exist after the Gender Equality Education Act became effective. The aim of this thesis is to discuss these problems and to provide resolutions. This thesis has five chapters. The first chapter introduces research motives, purposes, methods and restrictions. The second chapter describes characteristics, elements, and types of sexual harassment on campus. The third chapter discusses the regulation and implementation of current legislations governing sexual harassment. The fourth chapter discusses the problems caused by the implementation of the Gender Equality Education Act, and provides resolutions. The fifth chapter is the conclusion.
