Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 成人及繼續教育所 === 95 === The study aims to explore the correlation of foreign spouses’ social support network, learning motivation and learning participation. Questionnaires survey research method was adopted in this study. The questionnaire made by myself was used to be an investigating tool. Members of foreign spouses’ literacy class in Taichung County elementary schools were studied. Of the 935 questionnaires sent to 50 public elementary schools in Taichung County, 610 were able to be used.
Data from questionnaires was processed and verified using statistic methods. The following summarizes the analysis:
1. There are no significant distinctions between foreign spouses’ social support network and husband’s age and living with parent-in-law or not. However, there are significant distinctions between foreign spouses’ social support network and husband’s education degree.
2. There are significant distinctions of network’s functions among different networks. The main support network of foreign spouse’s social support network is husband’s support network and teacher’s support network.
3. Foreign spouses’ learning motivations are learning interest, society adaptation, verbal communication, nurturing of children and vocational development. Major in learning interest, society adaptation and nurturing of children.
4. Social support networks are significantly correlated with learning motivation. First is husband’s support network, and second is teacher’s support network.
5. Social support network, learning motivation and the interactions of these two are significantly correlated with learning participation.
6. Social support network, learning motivation and the interactions of these two are significantly correlated with degree of learning participation.
7. Social support network, learning motivation and the interactions of these two are significantly correlated with learning inclination.
The Conclusions of this study offer suggestions for related organizations of foreign spouses’ guidance and education departments to plan learning lessons and guidance.
