Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 地震研究所暨應用地球物理研究所 === 95 === The groundwater simulation contributes to understand the distribution of groundwater. This research emulates the distribution of groundwater heads through MODFLOW and further compares the results to the actual data from the observation of groundwater well and the distribution of beds materials. According to the results, we can build up the groundwater layer structure in Lanyan plain. This research divides the groundwater layers of Lanyan plain into 3 parts. The upper stream in Tzu Chiang, Hung Chai Lin has no obvious layers. We define it as groundwater layer 1. Downwards to Ta Chou, mud layers start appear, and it divides the groundwater layer 1 into layer 1-1 and layer 1-2. Continuously downwards to Chung Hsing, groundwater layer 2 starts to appear. The research also discovers that the amounts of groundwater heads in Lanyan plain increase with the depth. In addition to the characteristics of the layering structure, this phenomenon also shows great relation to the river recharge and permeability coefficient. The groundwater in Lanyan plain is very abundant. However, while the shallow groundwater pours into rivers, the groundwater gradient in upper layers is higher than it in lower layers. Moreover, because of lower hydraulic permeability in the vertical way, it separates the groundwater between layer structures. Hence, the amounts of groundwater heads increase with the depth.
