The verification of simulation results is essential, since the simulation modeling is based on some assumptions. In this study, the strain data of aluminum wheel under rotating test are obtained by strain gages. The measured data are transformed to stress data, which can be used to verify the simulation results and can provide the trend of stress distribution on wheel. Both quasi-dynamic and dynamic measuring method on test are performed to acquire the strain data. In the quasi-dynamic measuring method, the wheels incrementally rotated by manual to approximate the loadings of the rotating wheel. The slip ring is needed to connect signals form strain gages to the measuring system in the dynamic measuring method. The measurements by the quasi-dynamic method are close to those by the dynamic method, and the averaged differene is about ten percent. Most of the measurements are obtained by the quasi-dynamic method. The stresses predicted by the simulation are in good agreement with the measured stresses.
