The multimedia in addition to voice and data transmission is getting more attention. In this paper, we propose an efficient error-control scheme for streaming transmission of packetized multimedia over time-varying wireless channels. Our objective is to obtain the best media quality for a given channel capacity through applying appropriate arrangement of forward error correction(FEC) before transmission. To verify the performance, we perform simulation under the OFDM structure, where we also apply channel estimator and equalizer to resolve the effect of the multipath impact. Specifically, we compare the three most important criteria: Peak Signal to Noise Ratio(PSNR), Bit Error Rate(BER) and Packet Error Rate(PER). The simulation results show that there are considerable improvement on both performance and quality of the video.
