Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立雲林科技大學 === 企業管理系碩士班 === 94 === This study based on the Taiwanese manufactures operating in China, tested a model in which threats and opportunities lead directly to different organizational actions and compared it to a model in which organizational characteristics moderate organizational actions taken in response to threats and opportunities. To better understand these effects, we differentiated the dimensions of threat and opportunity associated with the threat-rigidity hypothesis from the dimensions associated with prospect theory. This research shows that control-enhance opportunity lead manufactures to respond in more proactive directed actions and that opportunity of likely gain lead to analyzer directed actions. Moreover, this study also show that Taiwanese manufactures operating in China, when facing control reducing threat or Opportunity for likely gain will respond in defensive type strategy such as analyzer strategy and will be beneficial to their operational performance. On the other hand, the result did not show the significant on either manufactures face control enhance opportunity and threats for likely loss is significant in provoking proactive type strategy such as risky strategy, however, risky strategy doesn’t instrumental to firm’s performances.
