Summary:碩士 === 國立雲林科技大學 === 工業工程與管理研究所碩士班 === 94 === Recently due to the improvement of education level and the rapid grow the of economy, the manpower structure of 3K industry has changed. In addition, because of the contiguous raising of GDP and living standard, the labors refuse the basic physical works and make the serious shortage of basic level labor force . In order to solving the shortage problem of labors, the goverment approved the 1st batch of foreign labors on October 1989 and the 1st batch of foreign labors were imported to Taiwan on February 1991. The import of foreign labors may temporarily solve the pressing need of manpower shortage issues ,but also incurs many management problems. Because the foreign labors come from different countries and have different culture, the HR management problems, such as recuiting, training, performance evaluation, salary, and living, are different from local labors. Therefore, it is a new challenge to effectively manage the increasing foreign labors. In this research, a study of surveying the leadership styles of HR intendants in the manufacturing industry to the foreign labors is proposed. The relationship between the culture differences and the styles of leadership is also addressed in this research. 320 questionnaires were set out and 202 available samples were obtained. Based on the statical analysis, the conclusions are listed as following: 1. The factors of culture difference influence the leadership styles of intendants. 2. The HR intendants can not change the culture difference of foreign labors through the leadership styles. 3. The difference of congnition in the living habit, languages and values between HR indendants and foreign labors may effect the peformace and achievement of the foreign labors.
