Enterprises are facing more pressures such as technique improvement, quality reformation, shorten lead-time and cost down, et al. Therefore, firms began to focus on their core competence and outsourced non-core value activities. However, how to select the right supplier effectively and gain more resource supports, will become the key to business success. So, this paper is taking Taiwan’s IC design industry as researching target. And, build up a supplier evaluating model for them. At first, literature of supplier evaluation is collected. And, let IC design managers to choose appropriate evaluating criteria. Second, Factor Analysis is used to combine 32 original evaluating criteria to 19 new criteria. Then, redefine and give a name to these new criteria. Third, in order to improve the precision of evaluating process, AHP is used to calculate the weights of criteria. Fourth, use Grey relational analysis and the weights of criteria to a case study. And, calculate the priority of their suppliers. Finally, Taiwan’s IC design industry can apply this evaluating model to make their supplier evaluating process more fairly and rapidly.
