Summary: | 碩士 === 大同大學 === 資訊工程學系(所) === 94 === In recent years, the network has already become a part of people's usual life. Many schools have already begun to teach network courses, including webpage designs, database management and server installation, etc.
While teaching the course of basic network, only some cables, several Hubs or Switches are required. Network wiring and configuration in the course of Network management are very complicated, it needing a lot of equipment. Such equipment cost is very high; the schools cannot supply enough experimental facilities for students generally. Most students cannot obtain enough exercise because the experiment is not only very difficult to finish in short time, but also a few students can practice these experiments within class time. So, the most of schools have difficulties to teach those advanced courses of network management.
Some software development manufacturers have designed the network simulator, therefore, users can practice setting up the network without practical network equipment. Under that kind of simulator, users can build and construct a virtual network structure in the computer, set up the topology of the network, configure the network equipment according to the user's idea, and can connect network equipment using graphic interface. The simulation software can also imitate OS of the network equipment, let users set up the network equipment, test the whole network topology, and check whether the network structure designed is correct.
For these reasons, this treatise design an architecture of linking network experimental device and a special-purpose server, use the network experimental device of CCNA authentication of CISCO Company, and link those experiment equipment of the network to the internet. This server offers the interface of HTML, let student can book his/her experiment time and login the server for exercise experiment from the remote place in scheduled time slot. In additional, the functions of teacher's management are also implemented in this system. The platform let student practice the experiment at any time, increase the learning efficiency of the construct network course greatly. The teacher can review students' experiment achievement through the records in the server. Because disperse the time of student's experiment, increase the rate of utilization of the network equipment, the laboratory does not need to prepare a lot sets of experimental facilities. Therefore, the equipment cost is dropped.
