Summary:碩士 === 大同大學 === 電機工程學系(所) === 94 === This thesis mainly focuses on the design of VCO for IEEE 802.15.3a UWB system and there are two kinds of oscillators those are the differential and quadrature VCOs respectively. They use NMOS switched-capacitor and switched-inductor to reach wideband purpose. The former adopts PMOS cross-coupled for active device and design on LC tank especially. In simulation layout course, all adopt TSMC 0.18μm 1P6M CMOS model to finish. We achieve the frequency band for 3.5~4.5GHz and 5.8~8GHz. The phase noise of low-frequency is between -105.512 and -111.958dBc/Hz @1MHz offset, the phase noise of high-frequency is between -94.686 and -104.852dBc/Hz @1MHz offset. The latter utilizes the back-gate concept and switch tank to accord with the UWB demand. Hence, its power consumption is 12.27mW lower than the past design. The oscillator frequency at low band is 3.9~4.8GHz and its phase noise is between -108.388~ -115.672dBc/Hz @1MHz offset, the oscillator frequency at high band is 6.2~8.1GHz and its phase noise of high-frequency is between -92.878 and -108.385dBc/Hz @1MHz offset.
