Summary: | 碩士 === 臺北巿立體育學院 === 運動科學研究所 === 94 === Taekwondo athletes were often received high intensity training before competitions such as Olympic Game and World Championships. Anaerobic exercise performance becomes a main issue after the effective of 11th enacted competition rule by W.T.F. Shortness of competition time and exercise area push Taekwondo athletes increase times of facial attack and mid-section kicking attack. This is why anaerobic power training becomes so important. However, after consective high intensity training, athletes might suffer from tissue injury and immunosupression. The phenomenons will severe impact on athletes’ performance.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate these effects of consective high intense Taekwondo training on anaerobic exercise performance and immunosupression effects of leukocyte’s phagocytic activity, and natural killer cell activity of Taekwondo athletes. 12 subjects from National Normal University Taekwondo team (age: 20.5 ± 0.7 yrs, height: 170.2 ± 5.6 cm , weight: 61.96 ± 9.24 kg) were participate in this program. Blood Samples were collected before and after training at the first week, 3rd week and 6th week and analyzed by the Flow cytometry.
The results shown that after the consective high intense training, Anaerobic exercise performance (Wingate’s test) increased around 20% after six weeks training (p < .05) but without changes of body composition (p > .05).The phagocytic activity of leukocyte and natural killer cell activity were lower before training (p < .05), Assess the phagocytic activity of leukocyte before training during the six weeks, there is an growth curve at the first 3 week, but an down regulate at the 6 week. However the phagocytic activity after training was decreased by times of training. As the number and activity of NK cells concerned, they were decreased by times of training no matter before or after training. It hints that there were accumulated effects of continuous training on immunity.
Conclusion, the chronic high intensity Taekwondo training may induce athletes’ immunosupression. When coaches design the training program, they should take it into consideration and should prevent that continuous damage during training season and keep athletes with good health.
