Based on “The Program of Promoting the Health-Related Physical Fitness of Teachers and Pupils” and “Encouraging Sport Clubs Participation,” the researcher strived to create a healthful “Shan-Shan” campus. Leading a research team, the researcher of the action research was the principal of “Shan-shan”. From February to June, 2006, the researcher conducted this action research by leading pupils to exercise through “morning exercise,” “break time exercise,” etc. and encouraged them to join sport clubs on campus. The strategy of making repeated activities was to build up the pupils’ basic exercise ability, enhance their exercise habit, promote their health conditions, and increase the number of exercise-doing population. In addition, for making up the shortage of exercising time periods at school, the research team invited parents joining this program in order to guide their children exercising at home. The research lasted the whole spring semester in 2006. With the continuing support of the pupils’ parents and research team members, the researcher completed this action research. The results show effects in a variety of aspects such as sport interests, habits, records, health-related physical fitness, and so on. The action research has made “Shan-Shan” becoming an active and healthful campus: Pupils played balls or went jogging in the courts, fields, and tracks; some of them played rope-jump with laughter and smiles; in company of the music, they exercised during breaks; furthermore they exercised at home under the kind guidance of parents, etc. This was the composite picture of health on the “Shan-Shan” campus.
