碩士 === 國立臺北藝術大學 === 音樂學系碩士班 === 94 === This paper is focused on the discussion the time background of Ravel, music art and the analysis of 《Bolero》. Take Ravel as the basic content, it divides into three chapters. In chapter I, it divides into two sections based on the time background. At first, a brief summary of Europe classical music in 20th century is presented. Besides, the development of impressionism and impression with its music style and the characteristic are discussed. In chapter II, it divides into two sections. First, the Ravel biography is introduced. Secondly, the music work and characteristic of Ravel is studied. In chapter III, it divides into three sections. It mainly discusses the Bolero. First section is the compositional background. Second section is the formal structure analysis. Third section is the key point of direction of Bolero. Owing to the seldom discussion of Ravel 《Bolero》in Taiwan, it is anticipated music people have better understanding and realization by discussing this work. In the meantime, it can be understood the magic orchestral music neoclassical qualities and the delicate music language by Ravel. Especially Revel’s orchestral music skill is his long research and he accumulates the achievement by numerous rehearsals experience. As a result, it is important for the person who learns the conductor.
