碩士 === 國立臺北藝術大學 === 戲劇學系碩(博)士班 === 94 === The founder of psychodrama, Jacob Moreno, had advocated four theatres at the early age. They are the theatre of conflict or called the theatre critique，theatre of spontaneity or the theatre immediate，the therapeutic theatre or the theatre of reciproque, and theatre of the creator. It’s traceable if we put the development of psychodrama in the therapeutic theatre context of twentieth century. There were Theatrotherapy of Nikolai Evreinov, Therapeutic Theatre of Vladimir Iljine before it, and after, drama therapy and playback theatre. The theatre of conflict followed the rebellious spirit with Expressionism against the then order, breaking the barriers between audience and stage. The theatre of spontaneity not only nourished the trend of improvisation, but also influenced the second theatre avant-garde movement indirectly. The theatre of creator was abided by the philosophy of encounter, of time, of space, of reality, and that of cosmo. These four theatres had not existed irrespectively, but rather, corelatedly and interrelatedly, and were the genesis of psychodrama. Psychodrama, synthesized the essence of four theatres, was the dramatic religion of Moreno, its core is “to let everyone play God”. Without this core perspective, any treatment or intervention from the director would fall short. Moreno’s early contribution to theatre hadn’t been recognized as it should be. He failed in theatres, but his spirit dwelled into seeds, boomed in theatres, and blossomed in the field of psychotherapy.
