For example, several art museums directors agree that Taiwan’s public art museum must provide public services in order to fulfill their obligation to the general public – perhaps to the extent of taking on "art museum for the people" as their slogan. The idea of public service for art museums,their biggest resourse is their art collection that can be used for purposes of exhibition, education and also the most importance of research. Therefore, figuring out how utilize the collections to provide public service on these three fronts is the crux of the mission of the museums. This research according to the informations from internet. First, after taking three art musums form overseas that compress their service items, we find that can divide into three areas: Exhibition, Education, and Research. They also can break them down into eight areas of action. These eight areas are exhibition, tour guides, educational activities, curriculum studies, online studies, research laboratory access, educational resources, and online information. Second, via these eight areas of action that holding the Taiwan art museums at a certain standard. Last, comparing art museums from Taiwan and Overseas and binging Five key points in the public service items: 1) The target for public service is the general public. 2) use exhibitions to enhance the educational potential of the collection. 3) fully utilize the educational potential of the collection for public service. 4) make available research resources. 5) improve the capabilities of education via the internet. This research shows that public museums in Taiwan still aim at exhibitions, the diversification about collections in public service are inferior to overseas. Although some already increase service items, but do not show up in the internet. These all need to amend for the future.
