Liu Tsung Yuan receives good home education from childhood, he is full of cordiality to politics, but he does not take on the government post for the money or the power , but hope to pass politics make people's lives kind. Liu Tsung Yuan proposes that God does not have a subjective will,, his thought has established the foundation for the development of Confucianism of Song Dynasty. Liu Tsung Yuan pays attention to the people's need, he points out , the setting-up of the society is to come from the objective “ the tendency “. The government official should pay attention to the people's demand . Liu Tsung Yuan resolves to rejuvenate Confucianism, he has inheritted forefathers' thought, and there is innovation more. Liu Tsung Yuan maintains too that the article can express the sage's suggestion , objects to very magnificent words and phrases. He learn from Lu Chun, has put forward the original view on study of Confucian classics. Liu Tsung Yuan is based on Confucianism develops the sage's way, he is on the original foundation of Confucianism, put forward the brand-new concept . Liu Tsung Yuan tries to make a research on his thought about “Combined Confucianism in with Buddhism”. Based on Confucianism, but all-embracing other theories, getting rid of corrupt pracieces, deveolping the functions of self-cultivation, social assistance, his thought had more actual significances, and affected his life style and literary creation.
