An intact third-grade class of 30 students in Taipei Municipal Zhong-Shan Elementary School participated in the study. Within 3 weeks, from July 3 to 19 of year 2006, the students received three music classes per week to learn music notation in pitch. The researcher, also acted as the teacher, was in charge of all teaching activities. The teaching process was videotape recorded. The data were collected through peer observations, researchers’ reflective journal, and interviews with students. During the study period, the researcher constantly used inductive analysis, quantitative analysis, and self-evaluation to correct the teaching process. The main conclusions of this research were: 1.The instruction comprising the teaching of sound ladder, musical scale, sol-fa syllables and their scale positions could improve students’ learning of music notation. 2.The implementation of web-based instruction for teaching musical notation should comply with the development of the third-grade students’ musical abilities. 3.The web-based instruction was effective in teaching music notation. 歐遠帆 2006 學位論文 ; thesis 0 zh-TW
