It aims to use the legal procedure to reduce the main source which brings the heating load of the buildings and to characteristic “Vernacular Architecture”. In Taiwan urban area, the type of residential buildings occupies the highest rate of buildings; it also varies in the planning, design procedure, site environment, site plan and space form. It will be helpful to present the new style Taiwanese architecture under the humid and hot subtropics by bringing into the technology of envelope energy saving with the division of architectural design work, the operation of the integration of design factor and analyzing properly. This research adopts the integration design method of Microsoft Excel software, which is based on the cases of middle and high-rise residential buildings with entirely architectural planning and design procedure and various faces. During the building planning and design procedure, the integration of design interface factors including site condition, building disposing, windowing, sun-shading and materials were used to build the envelope energy saving database to bring into the envelope energy saving to evaluate these items in the same building site one by one: the ratio of windowing, building materiality and outside sun-shaded of each building. Based on the experiences of real cases, it brings contribution in design developing, the material adjusting and the reference of alternative. The above study also provides the essential and principal points in the applied architectural process, in order to promote the entire design quality and implement the plan goal effectively.
