Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 車輛工程系所 === 94 === For internal combustion engines, electromagnetic valvetrain(EMV) is an ideal system to drive valve opening and closing. Although the tranditional variable valve timing engines have significant improvement in volumemetric efficiency compared with the mechanical cam driven engines. But that improvement is still not enough fulfill the performance requirements in different engine operating conditions. EMV system not only can hance performance in all operation conditions though flixable valve timing control, but also can perform cylinder deactivations in some specific operating range. therefor, an EMV system can get lower fuel comsumption, higher torque and low emission. This research develops an 4-stroke 4-cylinder engine model with electromagnetic valve. This dynamic model is used to simulate and analyz engine dynamics in different valve timings and valve lifts. The various engine volumemetric efficiencies and performances are then analyzed. Besides, the performances between an electro- magnetic valve engine and conventional cam-driven engine are compared. This research proves that electromagnetic valve train can be applied to an automotive engine practically.
