The trend of economic globalization and free trade, makes logistics more and more important at present. Customers can get more consumption information and use the platform of E-Commerce to complete transaction. This consumption type pushes consumer market to variety and small quantity. Against this kind of demand type, Distribution Center how to response customers’ request quickly and reduce the period from giving an order to received products and deliver on time and correctly. It will be a big challenge for Distribution Center. The cost of logistic operations come from the cost of different operations:delivery, moving, storage, order picking. From analyzing the cost of logistics, we can realize the cost of order picking is 40% of the cost of logistics. Besides the direct input labor of order picking is about 50% of the whole input labor of Distribution Center. The operational time of order picking is about 30%~40% of the whole operational time of Distribution Center. No matter from the cost, labor or operational time, we can see the importance of order picking[2]. According to related literatures, properly planning storage allocation can improve order picking efficiency. So the thesis uses data mining technology-- FP-tree, to analyze the association between items in simulative transaction database and to find large itemsets to apply in storage allocation of picking by order, zone picking. Through this way a picker can cut down walking distance on horizontal aisle. When an operator stands on the front of the three-level rack to use one hand or two hands to do order picking, he can reduce the moving distance of hands between storages, the number of reach-up or reach-down, or the idle time of hands as he use two hands to do order picking. In order to proof the improvement of order picking efficiency, the data collecting from above will compare with the related data from storage allocation based on popular criterion.
