The work is not only an ‘Installation’ of time-space position, but also an ‘action’, a practice of idea of ‘New Genre Public Art’ action which initiated from religious disposition. The Modernist Art showed its nature of respecting multiplicity and seeking of ego, however, the sequence of its ‘de-religion’ influenced lots of artists to ignore the responsibility of creating articles with warmth, positive and encouragement, which made arts become the tool of criticism and negation on people and made the art itself left nothing but emptiness. Yet should the art treated in that manner? As being a Catholics, I chose the manner of ‘Art serves religion’ to create my work of art, a manner which represents the essence of Western tradition of religion of touching and concerning life through the contemporary form of art and the medium of the art itself. In the work of ‘The Mysteries of the Holy Rosary’, its core is the ‘action of praying’ of over 6000 pan-religious people who were invited by the worker to participate the work by writing the prayers that initiated from the image of 5480 wounds on the body of Jesus the Christ when he sacrificed on the Cross. The installation form of the work is ‘the Holy Hall’ and “the Rosary’, and its spiritual meaning is cure of sewed fragmentation and praying of integration, reconciliation, and peace.
