碩士 === 東海大學 === 建築學系 === 94 === Tourism has become an important part of our lifestyle nowadays.It has great impacts on many places in terms of their economic developments and shifts of industry.Under globalization、Tourism is become an imperative issue. It seems to be a wonder-drug for remote regions' economics.Hence we call it as 「chimney-less industry.」 Looking from a 「post-consumerism」 point of view、post-tourists have brought tourist glaze,Which have created pseudo-events within those tourist spots. So calle 「cultural tourism」 is only an instutionalzied superficial replications. This has not only just created in-authenticity、but also destroyed original authentic regional fabrics. Looking back at the pop culture of Taiwan、local characteristics have commercialized through iconographic、commercialization 、even branding、and the product is then undergone mass reproduction.This has make local regions' authentic activities and lifestyle seems vulgar before they have any chance to transform themselves. Local characters has only become a marketing tool.Cultural integrity is no longer important. This thesis is an attempt to find a 「self reflect intelligence」 for local regions. The site is at Nei-Wan、one of the most popular tourist spot in Taiwan at the moment.It is facing problems from mass increase in tourist populations、traffics、economic densities. By investigation of the site and rearrange a new relationship between tourism and local regions、hopefully a new interaction between the two can be developed.
