The research pointed out that the forgiveness had nothing to do with the religiosity in the past. However, forgiveness is extremely related with health. Taiwan is going to become venerable aged society under the structure of aging population. It is worthy to pay close attention to the health and body and mind expansion of the elderly. As mentioned by researches in the past, the elderly with faith have the characteristics of higher life significance, optimistic and open-minded attitude, health and longevity, and high parental generation, as that they can face the death coolly and composedly. Forgiveness and faith also provide the elderly psychological well-being. For this reason, this research mainly aims to explore the relationship between religiosity and forgiveness of a group of Christian Elderly in Taiwan through the personality concept in psychology. This research can be as reference to express solicitude for the well-being of the elderly afterwards. The data collection is therefore constructed using “Group Measurement” activities along with the “Questionnaire Method” to serve as the reference model of introducing research method. For religiousness, there are “God concepts” and “religious motivations” to be formed as one set of religious faith system variables. For forgiveness, there are “levels of forgiveness”, “forgiveness motivations”, and “forgiveness attitude” to be formed as one set of forgiveness system variables. To proceed the “regression prediction” by these two variables after measurement and analysis respectively. Finally, this research comes out some conclusions. Under the religious faith system variables, the higher “acceptance” in “God concepts”, the higher “intrinsic orientation”; the higher “benevolence”, the weaker “extrinsic orientation”; the more one believes he can be forgiven by God, the stronger “intrinsic orientation” and the weaker “extrinsic orientation”. The “quest variable” is nothing to do with “God concepts”. Under the forgiveness system variables, the samples of sixth levels of forgiveness have positive “forgiveness attitude”; the stronger “expedient forgiveness”, the weaker positive “forgiveness attitude”; the stronger “intrinsic forgiveness”, the stronger positive “forgiveness attitude”. According to the “regression model” which forecast the forgiveness variables from the religious variables, some conclusions are proposed as below, 1. The successful probability for that if forecast samples can be achieved the 6th levels of forgiveness by “God concepts” and “religious motivations” is 69.2%. 2. “Intrinsic forgiveness” and “God image of acceptance” has negative relation; “Intrinsic forgiveness” has positive relation with “God image of benevolence” and “intrinsic orientation”. 3. For “forgiveness attitude”, “Cognition” has positive relation with the belief that forgiven by God; “Affect” and “God image of benevolence” has positive relation; “Behavior” has positive relation with “God image of benevolence”. The result has been approved effectively with the reference model composed of forgiveness, and religiousness. The result of this study could be referred to all other related topics for further discussion eagerly. Li-Jung Chang 張利中 2006 學位論文 ; thesis 145 zh-TW
