Summary: | 碩士 === 慈濟大學 === 教育研究所 === 94 === The purposes of this study were to assess the effects of smoking-cognitive, attitude, related efficacy of the Anti-Smoking Program among the Junior High School students. An unequal experiment was used in this study. Two classes of the 7th graders from the Jhii – Syuan (pseudonym) Junior High School in Hualien county were purposely selected as samples and randomly devided into two groups, one as the experimental group(n=36)and the other as the controled group(n=38). The students of experiment group participated in a series of the Anti-smoking Program Activities totally taken 540 minutes during 12 weeks. Before the Anti-Smoking Program, both groups had taken the test of the “Smoking-cognitive, Attitudes, Related efficacy Scale” of the Junior High School students, and so had they after the program. After the proceeding of the Anti-Smoking Program, each student of experimental group had taken the Anti-smoking Program Feedback Scale and attended an interview about lesson design and activity of the program. The data was analyzed by using Percentile Description, Chi-square ,Paired-t test and one way ANCOVA. The results of the study were as following:(1)The Anti-smoking Program Activity could significantly increase Smoking-cognitive, Related efficacy, but Attitude was not significant.(2)The Anti-smoking Program was based upon student-centered pedagogy, essentially included life experience and the pluralistic teaching materials. There approximately eighty percent of experimental group students felt it helpful with the curriculum and teaching method of those activities. The result could provide some assistance to the Junior High School student’s Anti-Smoking education and related studies.
