Description
Summary:碩士 === 樹德科技大學 === 人類性學研究所 === 94 === Abstract The purpose of this study is to investigate the state of physical and mental health of police officers and their sexual satisfaction as well as the correlation between these two. Drawn on the ranking scales used in related studies from abroad and at home, the two instruments used in the questionnaire for this study—the ranking scale of police officers’ physical and mental heath and the ranking scale of sexual satisfaction-- were developed. Six hundred questionnaires were distributed to married police officers working in Kaohsiung City, and five hundred and forty were responded. The data was collected and analyzed using exploratory factor analysis, internal consistency, analysis of variance: correlated samples, MANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation, and stepwise multiple regression. The findings of this study include: (1) In terms of police officers’ physical and mental health, the category of mental health, which includes the items of compatibility, happy emotion, and well-being memory is above physical health; (2) With regard to sexual satisfaction, the sexual climax ranks highest while the communication of sex ranks the lowest;(3) When it comes to “being flexible and at ease”, “feelings of happiness” and “happy recollections”, the police officers above 46 years old have stronger perceptions than younger ones; (4) The stronger the feeling of being flexible and at ease, the higher the sexual satisfaction; (5) Those who do not live with parents are more satisfied with their sexual life; (6) Those who are in the habit of drinking are less satisfied with their sexual life; (7) The older, the higher sexual satisfaction. Based on the findings of this study, suggestions are made about police officeers, police organizations, police officers’ spouses and future related research
