However, the intelligence of human has improved and the experiences for living have remained so that the space structure of home had changed the model from “caves” into “houses”. Moreover, houses even formed tribes, towns, and cities. In traditional Chinese architecture, the space is full of bamboo buildings, thatch buildings, wooden buildings, adobe building, rammed earth buildings, bamboo-mud-wall buildings. The architectural materials such as wood and bamboo play an important role in Chinese traditional architecture. Because of the plasticity and variety of wood and bamboo , these materials became the main structural making for the native and immigrants in Taiwan. More, it is convenient to plant and gather wood and bamboo so that the traditional Chinese architecture is filled with variety of these materials. By Chinese culture and custom, traditional Chinese architecture showed many kinds of building styles with precious art works. They are meaningful, artistic, unique, local and valuable to Chinese architecture. “Door” of the structure is the first impression and the symbol of the place of the society to Chinese. Hence, the size, function, pictures, superscription, locks and materials of the door became much more important than others. This study aims to depict and discuss the “doors” for traditional Chinese architecture and history and to provide some data and information for Chinese architecture or literature.
