The question of color reproduction of the display is more important. Different types of displays have different color characteristic. For display system, the different chromaticties and luminance of [R],[G],[B] and [W] colors will cause to different color gamut ranges. Gamut mapping can let different displays reach the same color appearance. We can use gamut mapping technology let two displays (i.e., LCD & CRT) that have different color gamut sizes to reach the same color appearance. We would like to show the colors on CRT screen with a larger color gamut to simulate LCD appearance that has a smaller gamut. The aim of our paper is to build up the gamut mapping technology that can let different screens reach the same image colors. We also use the method combining picked-up special hue region and 3*3 matrix correction for solving the problem of blue hue-shift in CIE LAB color space.
