Summary:碩士 === 世新大學 === 觀光學研究所(含碩專班) === 94 === The purposes of this study are to survey the atypical employment in international tourist hotels and to compare the determinants of the use of atypical employment in different types of hotels. Questionnaires were administered to 113 hotel human resource managers. The results were as follows: 1.The determinants of the use of atypical employment are flexibility of labor employment, hiring difficulty in full-time labor, cost control, low work skill, employment relationships and training. By the way, hotels revealed significant differences in labor flexibility, cost control and training. 2.80% managers suggested that the ratio of atypical employment is about 10%. 3.Over 98% of hotels provided appropriate profits, such as free meal for the retention of atypical employees. 4.Among wide diversity of atypical employment, internship programs with monthly salary, flexible work hours seemed to be the trend in future atypical employment. In addition the results found above, several managerial implications were discussed in terms of employee-organization relation.
