Summary: | 碩士 === 東吳大學 === 音樂學系 === 94 === Singing can cultivate one’s character and beautify one’s mind. Moreover, it can also release teenagers’ energetic feelings. But some teenagers’ poor voice result from their improper way of using vocal organs during the changing voice period.. However, the changing voice is the natural process of human growth. During the period of changing voice, the vocal cords swell and become reddish. It’s a kind of physical phenomenon, not pathology phenomenon. So, it’s unnecessary to cure by taking medicine. And regarding it as broken voice is a wrong concept. We should think that it’s just the changing of voice. In Taiwan, the children in the period of changing voice are about 11,12 or junior high school students. During this period, most school music classes focus on the singing teaching. Therefore, realizing the reasons, situations, phenomenon of the changing voice is very important. Besides, how to implement teaching of singing plays an important role during the period of the changing voice. If the singing director has lack of the knowledge of the changing voice, he or she might have too many demands or too much scolding. It might cause students to have broken or hoarse voice. Students might be afraid of singing and under the influence of it all their lives. Thus, we, being the directors of these students, ought to make them understand their physical changes and help them to learn the correct ways to restore to their confidence in singing.
The research focuses on the teenagers’ physical changes and limitations during the period of changing voice. I also search the relational theories and try to look for the effective way of training. On one hand, the theories make teenagers realize more about “ the period of changing voice.” On the other hand, I expect that all the chorus directors understand more about the limitations of theses students’ physical and spiritual changes. Also, they can have more proper skills of giving off sound and.the choric training when they face the teenagers in the period of changing voice.
There are four key-points on the research:
1. Understanding the teenagers’ physical and spiritual changes during the period of changing voice.
2. Analyzing the proper teenagers’ chorus odes and training ways in the period of changing voice.
3. Finding out the improvements of singing skills limitations, the correct maintenance of vocal cords and proper ways of giving off.
4. Expecting to help the chorus directors to understand students’ demands, singing training ways and the reference standard of choosing choric odes.
Others including the collections and analysis of materials, the investigation and visiting of teenagers’ chorus teaching, the analysis and research of the assignation odes of the chorus contests in the years past.
Furthermore, I conclude them from all the researches and look forward to providing other researchers with concrete suggestions as the learning reference in the future.
